PiC commissioned the fourth corporate responsibility survey of about 581 companies to the Social and Rural Research Institute (SRI), a specialist unit of IMRB International based in New Delhi. Partners in Change has pioneered the earlier three surveys, with the publication of its 1st report in 1997, and followed by 2nd and 3rd report in 2000 and 2003 respectively. The present survey is therefore well-placed to track key changes in the way in which Indian companies understand and discharge their societal responsibilities in an increasingly global context. This year’s survey also seeks, for the first time, to capture the views of key industry sectors as part of an enquiry to assess the extent to which they have responded to sector-specific CR issues. PiC’s previous surveys, has enjoyed a readership from amongst a wide-range of organizations and individuals across sectors who were involved with or interested in corporate responsibility issues in India.
