In 50.1 percent institutions, the Head of the institution was reported as the designated contact on CR issues. This was followed by the academic head or programme director (31.3 percent). A few institutions (4.5 percent) have senior faculty looking after CR.

3.6 Student-teacher Ratio in Management Institutions

A key indicator of educational quality in institutions is the student-teacher ratio. For a concentration as niche as CR, this assumes significance especially given the nature of CR and the consciousness-building it entails. The sample of Management Institutions that were under survey was asked to share their respective ratios in order to ascertain the attention received by students from the faculty. The findings are reported below.

The student-teacher ratio in institutions was found to be predominantly high, with 87.5 percent saying they had one teacher for every 25 students.
 
 
 

3.7 Student Enrolment by Course in Management Institutions

Management Institutions today offer a variety of programmes and multiple options of learning, such as part-time and executive MBA, for those with time and distance constraints. In terms of the depth of study, at many institutions, there is provision for those seeking to pursue doctoral or post-doctoral studies. The following discussion takes a look at student strength by programme, across Management Institutions.

In full-time MBA programmes, 37.5 percent of Management Institutions surveyed have between 200 and 300 students on their rolls whereas part-time MBA has fewer students with 10.6 percent reporting enrolment between 100 and 200. Executive MBA had 4.8 percent reporting up to 50 students and an equal proportion (4.8 percent) reporting between 100 and 200 students. 23.1 percent of Management Institutions said the PhD student strength was up to 50 students.
