‘Business Ethics’ is deemed the most important, with a sizeable 87.5 percent of all respondents reporting for the same. ‘Business and Society’ is assigned second rank in the order of importance at 64.4 percent and ‘Corporate Environmental Management’ the third, at 59.6 percent.

4.3b CR Mainstreaming across Business Programmes and Courses

It was also considered pertinent to determine the dominant perception vis-à-vis the mainstreaming of CR across all business programmes. The sample was asked to share views on the integration of CR content into programmes and courses.

A substantial 87.5 percent advocate that CR should be mainstreamed across all business programmes and courses.

The respondents who do not consider that CR curriculum should be mainstreamed make up about 12.5 percent of the total sample under survey. Since this study intends to feed into the promotion of CR teaching and research, it was deemed relevant to enquire into the justification offered by these respondents as to why they believe CR curriculum should not be mainstreamed. The table that follows outlines the reasons cited.
