5.3 Involvement of External Competencies in CR Course Design and Delivery

One critical aspect of CR education that warrants examination in order to understand if the development of CR teaching is intrinsic or guided by external factors is the involvement of various external agencies in the CR course design and delivery.

On investigating how CR curriculum design and delivery processes are driven, it emerged that many of the institutions involve external agencies for the purpose. Most (36.5 percent) report enlisting resource persons from Industry whereas a notable proportion (26 percent) draw their support from NGOs and CR professionals (24 percent).

 
 
 

5.4 Providing Resource Support for CR Study and Research

Another credible measure of importance accorded to CR is the support extended by Management Institutions by way of resource provision. The study took stock of resources that institutions provide for the study of and research of CR.

Resource support for CR research is found to be provided by a significant majority of institutions with 54.8 percent saying they support it.

The nature of resource support that is extended for CR research is predominantly (80.7 percent) through the library budget and seminars and conferences (also 80.7 percent). Other kinds of assistance include institutional funding for research staff (56.1 percent) and financial support from alumni (52.6 percent).
