The survey was carried out among some of the top companies. 13 of the companies covered in this survey were Fortune-500 companies and 98 of the companies covered in this survey were ET-500 companies. The study has been carried out at the Registered Offices of the companies in the above seven cities.
Individual interviews of knowledgeable representatives of the companies were conducted. The focus of the quantitative study was on the collection of factual data regarding CR activities being undertaken by the companies. Wherever these existed amongst the respondent companies, the details of practices and policies were recorded. The level of integration of CR in the main line of business, which would be from visualisation and conceptualisation till public reporting, forms an important aspect of the information gathered from the survey. The attitude of the companies having no CR policy nor any ongoing practices towards CR, was also recorded.
The details of methodology are given in the Annexure. |
